Sincerely,

Hate this school. Can't wait to leave.

I write all of this because I have ONE voice. We need THOUSANDS. First, we need to recognize that there are problems and then, we need to stand up and VOICE those to the administrators, the district and the community if we want CHANGE. These are our kids, our future, America's future...can we start fixing the issues and create a better place for our youth? The one's who, will one day, have children of their own right here in this community, will one day care for us, and will one day, set policies and develop programs that will impact the lives of ourselves and our loved ones.

I hear people talk about the football program...Yah, it's great because it rakes in loads of money for the school. How about the other programs? How about the girls sports programs? They're awful and there is minimal funding for them. And, let's be honest, how many kids in the school are on sports teams? Not that many...so, what is there for all the other kids who, year after year, don't make the team? Or the one's that do make the team, but never play...what message does that send? (Your good enough to bring us money, but not good enough to play). How about the kids who have no interest in sports or music? This is a community issue too.

Like the school. Great educational system definitely prepares you. the bathrooms could use updating but overall definitely an amazing school. Plus the athletic program for the football team is up to date

There is a clear lack of communication between staff and parents. High school is tough for our kids and parents need to feel as though communication is open and encouraged. An occasional email to let me know things here and there doesn't really help me much. I want to know how we are going to resolve issues and how we are going to improve conditions.

Last, the structure...it's over crowded. Let's face it. How about we stop putting up little mobile units and address the real issue? Our community has grown.

I have had 4 kids go through this school. I'm rating it a 3 because I have had a mixture of experiences. Mr. Day, the principal has been amazing, kind, considerate, down to earth, abides by the policies set forth, and I feel, he truly cares for the students. The resource officer, he's a nice guy but the problems seem out of his control. Discipline office: they are kind and will communicate effectively IF you call them and ask questions. I wish I could remember her name, but the secretary in the discipline office: she is wonderful, sincere, empathic and compassionate. The attendance office: some of the most disgruntled employees I've repeatedly encountered over the past 10 years. Teachers: never met or talked to any of them. Sometimes, I get an email from one teacher which explains her lesson plans. That's nice, but it serves me no purpose.

Growing up in this school was one of the worst experiences. I stayed for all 4 years and every single day was hell. Just to put it in perspective, my senior year, the faculty refused to let me do my senior walk around the school with everyone else, because I hadn't paid for my cap and gown yet. I was embarrassed, upset, and all I got was an apology. Faculty never cared about the students, doubt they've changed.

There is a drug problem here. I get it. Its everywhere....what's different about Crestview? There is NOTHING to do aside from school and just, 'hanging out.' Seriously. I'm not going to turn a blind eye to the issue. PARENTS, lock up your medications and pay attention to your kids. They aren't 5 anymore. Yes, your little angel is curious, hormonal and has a strong desire to fit in. Better yet, they don't want you to know and if you don't get your head out of your phone, you won't notice the subtle changes in their clothing, their smell, their irritability, their moodiness, their new friends, their increased interest in social media etc. Somehow, someway, the school and the community need to address the issue of substance use at Crestview.

THIS SCHOOL NEEDS TO WORK ON FAVORITISM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This schools food is trash. The students need WAY MORE freedom, feels like they are in prison, or even the holocaust!!!!!!!!!
